Spiral of doubt

Thoughts on being an artist:
Spiral of doubt
A mind adrift, a restless sea
torn by worries, wild and free.
Money's ghost, a haunting fear
stealing sleep, year after year.
A calling true, a heart's desire
yet, sustainability, a fading fire.
An artist's soul, a dream untold
unseen, unheard, growing cold.
A business falters, a fragile art
a struggling spirit, a wounded heart.
No other path, no other way
lost in doubt, from day to day.

The relentless pursuit of artistic expression can often lead to a precarious balancing act between passion and financial stability. As an artist, the constant struggle to make ends meet while staying true to one's creative vision can be both exhilarating and exhausting. The weight of financial worries can cast a shadow over even the most inspired moments, making it difficult to maintain a sense of hope and purpose. Despite these challenges, many artists continue to persevere, driven by an unwavering belief in the power of their craft and the hope that their work will eventually find its place in the world.
Something to ponder for world mental health day.
